A: it takes up to 45mins and is a relatively easy job with minimal tools needed How to install : No need to hack, grind or cut open the factory sealed metal box to try and replace batteries just simply swap out box with minimum tools or fuss tools needed = any car jack for raising the front left wheel almost off ground to make space under the arch, 1/4 inch rachet (small dinky type) with t25 torx bit for the x8 screws & a 10mm socket for the x4 plastic nuts all holding on flexible inner arch and a 8mm socket for x2 small bolts holding on siren, thin screwdriver for detaching siren plug, Any questions ask away.. For more advise and help keep scrolling: Part numbers: Going on the year and model of your car should be enough to give you confidence to order however if your still unsure there are 3 options: 1. You can send us your registration 2. Call a Volvo dealer parts department and ask for your Volvo'alarm siren' part number by providing the cars registration number or vin number 3. The most bullet proof way to avoid transition year mistakes will always be to locate your siren and check the label on box (feel free to take a picture and send it to us) you will see a long part number that starts 6G9N-19G229- and ends with 2 similar letters for example AK or BK, please see picture of my own old original rusty box for reference in pictures above. Newer or replaced modules may only have the Volvo 8 digit part number on box like 30659882, 31428180, 30659883 More helpful Info: Q: Do these alarm sirens need coding? A: No they do not need coding just unplug old and plug in new Q: I've been told or read about cars with or without a tilt sensor does it matter?

Do the alarms come with a tilt sensor inside the alarm siren? A: Only the early designed Delphi alarm sirens (pre 2006) had the option of an integrated inclination sensor within the siren, the design then changed to put the more sensitive sensors into a better environment inside the car with its own dedicated module Q: My'alarm service' message hasn't cleared? 99% of the time message will clear straight away, on rare occasions a stubborn message persists what's going on?
