Field Of Dreams - If We Build It Will You Come? Please visit our Facebook page - #fieldofdreamswales. We designed and made this cab bed for our daughter as the frame hammock beds we tried previously are not very comfortable at all, and also a pain to set-up.

We wanted something simple to set-up and with maximum comfort in mind so we set about creating this new concept. Please see the feedback we have received in the pictures. Our bed sits across the three front seats and at its base is a two inch supportive foam mattress to complement the already comfortable front seats, and iron out the slight height differences between the seats. On top of the foam base is a removable (washable) charcoal grey (note we can also make in plain Navy but this is subject to availability - ask first) microfiber cover and this forms a base sheet over the mattress.

The foam is secured into the center of the bed by stitching thus leaving two'Tabs' either side. The'Tabs' are then used to attach the bed into the cab to prevent a child from falling out during sleep. There are eight elasticated straps (four regularly spaced along each side tab) that clip onto the headrests at the back of the seat and also onto the mounts for the front sun visors. The tabs are not only used for safety and securing the bed, they also have pockets in them for storage of devices, books or games etc. It also comes with a size-matched bespoke pillow and matching pillow case! We honestly don't think there is anything else out there on the market that is comparable so we wanted to share it with you all. We know that can seem a bit of a wait, but you will get a bespoke quality cab bed. Whats more - if you want specific sized pockets, that too can be arranged. This bed transformed our daughter's sleep in the van and she thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread. It takes just seconds to both put up and pack away.

We get asked a lot about twin captains seats and is this bed suitable? People have bridged the gap between the two seats and used this product successfully.

We could also make a seat bridge for you but at additional cost. SAFETY NOTE - PLEASE be aware that this cab bed is not suitable for babies / infants - there are no ventilation gaps at the sides and there are elastic straps which attach from the bed to the cab seats and front window, so we will only advise ordering for children 3 years of age and above.
