VW Golf Mk1 Series 1 1977 Not Swallowtail Project Barn Find

  

With massive regret, my 1977 VW Golf Mk 1 series 1 is up for sale. I imported the car from Stuttgart, Germany.

She's a 3 door tin top, running a 1100cc petrol engine and 4 speed box, covering only 60k miles (90k km). It's super straight, really original and has all the original early pieces.

The eagle eyed amongst you may have realised there's a small fuel can in the engine bay.... Unfortunately this car has a rotten filler neck I was fully surprised... The fuel tank is still in the car and I believe it to be in good condition.

Also, the offside rear arch and sill are typical mk 1.... The car starts, drives and kinda stops. The motor runs absolutely sweet as a nut. It's all original paint and trim (apart from the front wings) and all the glass and window rubbers are superb condition and genuine.
