Powerlite Starter Motor MGA and MGB up to 1968  Powerlite Starter Motor MGA and MGB up to 1968
Powerlite Starter Motor MGA and MGB up to 1968. A high performance geared Starter Motor which is an easy to fit direct replacement for the original unit on your MGA or MGB up to 1968 which originally had the inertia type starter. In the Powerlite Starter the pinion is positively engaged electrically and does not rely on an inertia system. The gearing means it draws less current but gives a huge increase in cranking power to start the engine even with a higher compression ratio, and is much lighter too! The items must be in an as-new, resaleable condition.

The company started as Lucas Electrical specialists for which we are renowned. Luckily some original tooling is still available to us, and in other instances, we have commissioned new tooling to allow the manufacture of otherwise unobtainable parts. The product range has now been widened to cover many other classic car and motorcycle parts and accessories, including clothing, books and tools for the garage or workshop. We are the go-to place (for car parts and accessories) for many heritage car manufacturers such as Aston Martin, Landrover, Caterham, Jaguar and Mini.

We feature a fantastic catalogue of spares for Healey's, Bristol's, Jaguar XK and more. Sign up to our newsletter for special deals. Holden Vintage & Classic Ltd.
