9MM THICK ZINC PLATED CHAIN. Attach the trailer coupling on to the box head of the hitch plate and tighten nuts and bolts(avoid crushing the inner box section housing as you tighten bolts). Next tighten the nuts and bolts that connect the arms to the hitch plate enough so you still have movement, fit the ratchets to the a frame NB: The ratchet handles can be attached with handles facing forward or backwards it is your preference however we advise what gives most clearance for the front bumper. Next fit the legs into the arm sockets ensuring the chains are facing upwards and tighten nuts and bolts, insert the straps through the gap in the ratchet winders and place the A-Frame in front of the vehicle to be towed.

FITTING A FRAME TO VEHICLE. Slide the A-frame under the vehicle, place the pin (on the end of the leg) against the front of the wishbone, wrap the chain over the top of the wishbone or the hole if there is one, and back under on the inside of the A-Frame towards the front bumper of the vehicle, do same for both sides (see picture pin placed against the front of wishbone).

Linking chain to the strap. Slot the chain link into the keyhole fitting of the strap so that at least 2 or more links are through and slide the chain back into slot. Work the ratchet handles to allow the straps to roll up and tension (do not tension fully just yet). Last step is to select the holes for desired width from the 10 holed cross brace on the A-Frame arms and fully tighten all 3x nuts & bolts including the slotted slider hole the hitch plate assembly.

Now lift the tow hitch coupler on to the tow ball of your car. Double check that all nuts and bolts are tight on the entire A-Frame and that everything looks right. Make sure nothing is going to rub or catch on anything under the car when the wheels turn. Once everything has been checked you can now fully tension the ratchet straps, do not over tension. VEHICLES BEING TOWED ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DRIVER.

IF YOUR TOW BALL/BAR NEEDS LOWERING IN ORDER TO USE THIS A-FRAME SAFELY TO AVOID DAMAGED TO EITHER VEHICLE THIS MUST BE DONE BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO TOW THE VEHICLE. GUIDELINE FOR TOWING WITH YOUR A-FRAME IN CORRECT MANNER. AVOID SPEED HUMPSAND TURNING SHARP. IT IS ADVISED TO USE A LIGHT BOARD ON REAR OF TOWED VEHICLE AT ALL TIMES. VEHICLE TO BE TOWED IS NOT TO EXCEED 75% WEIGHT OF TOWING VEHICLE AND SHOULD BE SMALLER IN SIZE.
